The Ultimate HIDTA Deconfliction and Mapping System

In 2002, GCR & Associates, Inc. (GCR), in partnership with Gulf Coast HIDTA, created a deconfliction application known as project SAFETNet (Secure Automated Fast Event Tracking Network) for managing multi-jurisdictional scheduling data and conflicts.

screenToday, GCR is proud to announce that SAFETNet is in use in over 30 states with a list of significantly enhanced features, including NVPS capability and local agency integration.

The power of SAFETNet is that it gives non-communicating agencies in local, state and federal law enforcement a common gateway to identify conflicts with their events, subjects and targets. The system tracks both geographic locations and times of operations and notifies agents if any operation time and place could conflict with other previously scheduled operations. And all conflict parameters are user-defined, giving each agency control of their own conflict reporting.

GCR and Midwest HIDTA have integrated SAFETNet with the National Virtual Pointer System (NVPS) message switch on RISS.net, adding nationwide deconfliction to SAFETNet’s impressive list of capabilities. Now SAFETNet seamlessly integrates with databases ranging from local/regional jurisdictions to national sites, providing the most comprehensive, single-point-of-entry deconfliction solution on the market.

How SAFETNet Works

SAFETNet is a web and GIS-based system, using Microsoft SQL Server as its database engine and ESRI’s ArcIMS Internet Map Server to provide mapping. Mapping options include filtering, multi-layer mapping, street mapping, and aerial photo mapping. Geo-coding of all data for mapping purposes is included with the system.

In SAFETNet, all confliction data is housed in a single place. The application can be delivered in a turnkey deployment – complete with hardware, software, map coding for up to 5 states, automated conversion of events from any existing systems in use, and a rich, responsive support environment. Continuing Customer Support provides unlimited on-going advisory service by e-mail or phone, remedial software fixes, and periodic updates and enhancements as requested by the SAFETNet Steering Committee and user group.

GCR Inc. stands behind SafeTNet 100%. We are available to consult with your HIDTA to develop custom enhancements and features to meet individual integration challenges.
